Truly an honor

When we got the dates for National Police Week in Washington DC, we knew right away that we wanted to go. This was Jason's final act to pay his respects to his fallen friend, his brother in blue, and I knew I wanted to spend that time with him as well. Trey decided to join us for the week and it was truly an honor to be in the presence of so many heroes!
My hero...today, tomorrow and forever

Stopped by this pretty house on our first day there

The President going out for a stroll...

Another everyday hero!

Handing out badges to the kids there, they loved all the police around

Visiting Congressman Flores' office

"Stop taking my picture!"

It wouldn't be a trip to DC without hearing the President speak

Some English Bobbies

Standing guard at the memorial

Just a chat with ole Bill...you know, typical day

Searching for the Book of Treasures

Really amazing memorial

Breathtaking experience

Old Bryan PD Police Chief...spent a lot of time looking for this guy!

One last visit before we came back...

Words can not even begin to describe what this trip meant to us. To be in the presence of so many; so many friends and family of lost heroes, it was a once in a lifetime trip.
