REALLY nice birthday surprise!!!

I do have to say that my hubby and dear friend have outdone themselves this time!!! The hubs had told me about a week ago that we were going to dinner with some friends, I asked what for and he just said they had asked if we wanted to go to a nice dinner some evening. We decided it was an early celebration dinner for my birthday and got all gussied up for a nice dinner out. Grandma was on Hudson duty, and even told us to go out after dinner and not worry that Hudson could spend the night...little did I know she was in on the surprise too! So we go to our fancy dinner and The Republic was as amazing as it ever is!!! We went all out, appetizers, entrees and desserts - although Jason was not impressed with the "milk & cookies" dessert.

Towards the end of dinner, we begin to discuss going out and dancing or possibly going somewhere else. We decide on Rockies (or rather I was persuaded to go there) but we realize that we need to go and change out of our fancy dinner clothes. Carrie and Jason offer to come and pick us up after we get all done. Unbeknownst to me, while we are finishing dinner and changing and getting ready a lot of our friends were already at Rockies waiting for our arrival.

Funny thing...I saw Kara's car in the parking lot as we are arriving thinking "oh she must be shopping late" never thinking that maybe she could be inside Rockies...silly me!

MY BUBBA SHOWED UP! Words can not even begin to express how incredibly excited I was about this...see, Bubba doesn't go out anymore, so I was in shock when he walked up!

Thanks so much to everyone that came out and celebrated with us. While I am certainly feeling the effects of the night today, I am truly blessed to have so many amazing people in my life to celebrate another year with. I can't wait until the crawfish party now! This "turning 30" might not be so bad after all!!

Legacy Dinner

The second annual Legacy Dinner went off without a hitch and I couldn't be more proud to be a part of this conference and all that goes into it. It's a long two day conference but in the end, it's all worth it!

We took Hudson to another baseball game this past weekend once we got back, this time to be able to run out on the field with the players and stand with Krey (our neighbor) for the National Anthem. He may or may not have been a little too young for it, but just in case Mr. Krey gets drafted we wanted to have this experience!! We knew one of the Diamond Darlings too so she took him out on the field for us...thank goodness!!!

So thankful that the neighbors told us about this, he might have been a little too young but thankful for the sweetness of all our neighbors and their help to make this happen!

Oh party time...

I turn 30 this year and in true awesome hubby fashion, Jason had a lot of fun things planned! Earlier this year he kinda let it slip about surprise number 1...a Bon Jovi concert. Yea...awesome...this is like a bucket list item of the century I can check off!

LOVE this man so much...yes that is a beer already...yea they were free at the hotel...sorry I'm not sorry!!! :)

While there I was able to convince the hubby to go to the mall and he got a fancy shave with a real done with a straight razor

Our fancy dinner have all sorts of treats throughout the course of our meal but my favorite was the homemade cotton candy at the end!!

If you ever get a chance, try sangrias at Nick & Sam's Grill...uh-maze-ing!

And we thanked them at the end of the night and made them take another photo with me...it's tradition for me!

I know my hubby has more in store for me...I'm so excited and don't know if I'll come down from this high for a while. I'm such a lucky gal!!!
