Rodeo time

The most exciting and dreaded time of the year has come and gone!!! We didn't go to nearly as many shows as we have in the past but had just as much fun and made some money back selling the tickets this year!!

We can't not go on opening night!!!

Stuck in lovely Houston traffic...grrrrrr!

In the middle of all of this we had a Honoring our Heroes event in town, hosted by the Lions Clubs and the 100 Club. They had the Gatlin Brothers perform at the event. Jason is part of one of the local Lions Clubs and then obviously we are members of the 100 Club. That is an amazing organization that literally swoops in and helps the families and loved ones of a first responder killed in the line of duty. Our community has benefited quite a bit from this organization over the past 6 months.

My real life hero

Us and the Gatlin Brothers

We may or may not have snuck into a firehouse later that evening...hey we were "delivering food" to them :)

They were there...I had to!

We came up with the brilliant idea to take Hudson to the rodeo this year as well, it was fun and I know he enjoyed himself but a troublesome toddler around thousands of drunks...ugh...

Trying on some cowboy boots!

Apparently Jason and I were talking to much on the ride up there...

Trying to catch a lil' nap before the excitement

Tell me that isn't the cutest lil' cowboy butt you ever saw?!?!

So much fun in the petting zoo

"Mom, dad, why won't it move?!"

Sweet hugs

"Hmmmm...this looks interesting..."

"Just let me get in there with them!"

Got our picture with some real cowboys!!

Such nice gentlemen

Hudson was such a trooper too!

Of course had to get a photo with the Astrodome!!!

And finally time for the rodeo. He was somewhat interested but you could tell he had other things on his mind...

He managed to sit still long enough for us to get through the rodeo and a little bit of the concert

Even smiled and flirted a little with some ladies...

Fun, fun family day at the RodeoHouston

And then this one was all tuckered out and slept on the way home...

Maybe next year might be a little different, but I'm thinking this kiddo needs to be about 4 before we venture out with him again to this...RodeoHouston was great this year, The King, George Strait ended the shows this year with his farewell tour and it was so worth it! I'm pretty sure Jason did not want to be there and knew we could have sold out tickets for a pretty penny but you can't not go to this last show!!!!
