Honoring a great man

Every year Jason heads up the Special Olympics Tip-a-Cop event at Texas Roadhouse. Every year they knock it outta the park in raising the most funds throughout the entire state and this year will be no different. However, this year he decided to advertise that this year is in honor of Brian Bachmann, our dear friend whom we lost just last year. 

Well, this community came out in full force and supported this great event and preliminary numbers show that they raised over $17,000 and have beaten all the other Tip-a-Cop events in the NATION!!! I couldn't be more proud of him for this and I know that there is an angel up above smiling down on a job well done by all that were involved in this event!

Houston Aquarium

On our way back home this weekend we stopped off in Houston for Hudson to play around at the Aquarium.

Rode a really fancy Ferris Wheel...which mommy does not like!

And was all tuckered out!

 

I'd say it was a pretty successful trip! He loved all the fish, and the sharks and probably could have stayed a lot longer than we did but mommy and daddy were tired!



Alligator Farm

While visiting Jason's family we decided to take the kids to the alligator farm...poor Hudson, he was intrigued and very interested as long as it was behind a glass or fence. While in the gift shop he brushed up against some greenery (decoration) in there and it scared him so bad and he was shaking after that he was so scared!! My inner country girl upbringing came out and I was having a blast!!

Of course we have to get pictures of the turtle!!

Well, this sure changes things up...

Jason and I had talked about this year being the year we tried for a second baby. Well, things are about to get really hectic for us because we are pregnant. We knew at Hudson's birthday party but hadn't told anyone yet. We have told the family now and my belly just instantly popped out so everyone is starting to figure it out now. We had a shirt made for Hudson saying "Only Child Club - Membership expires March 2014" but would you believe that we didn't get a single photo oh him telling either side of the family and the shirt!! We took my parents to dinner and after Hudson ate we went and changed him and brought him back to the table. We had to tell my parents to read the shirt, then we called Uncle Tay-Tay over so he could see the shirt too. A couple of weeks later we went to Bridge City and put Hudson in the shirt and just let him run around and play until someone noticed. We wondered how long it was going to take...it was pretty funny...my sister-in-law was on the phone when she noticed it and she screamed. We decided to FaceTime Nana and Poppy since they were camping.

We are excited and scared; excited for this new adventure but it's foreign territory we are going into and we are scared at the unknown. Baby James #2 will make his or her arrival in March of 2014. We are going to try for a natural birth this go around, my doctor doesn't think that anything should keep me from doing that so fingers crossed everything goes good this time!

My awesome co-workers

I work with some pretty phenomenal people! When you work with people 8-9-10 hours a day, 5 days a week you better like them huh?! We went to a wedding for one of our co-workers' daughters this past weekend and we know how to have a good time!

I'd say I had the hottest day, don't ya think?!

I'm so thankful that I can call so many of my co-workers some of my very best friends, really makes going to the workplace so much fun!!

Hudson LOVES his Uncle tay-tay, I think if I would let him he would go and stay with him!! (That might not be a bad idea some days!!!) Here are some fun times with those two!

Any time he travels he knows he better bring Hudson something back...notice the Señor Frogs shirt he is wearing above!! Hudson can pick out every shirt that his uncle tay-tay has brought him back too, that's all he wants to wear. I can tell these two have lots of memories to make over the years...and I couldn't be happier about that!!
